When you first start Mirae WAVE, this environment consists of the following elements (by default):
The Menu Bar contains menus for controlling and rendering 3-D images.
A few of frequently used commands are listed on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can customize the toolbar to include any command that you use frequently by right-click on Menu Bar area.
When you click the Mirae WAVE Button on the top left corner, commands related to opening files (or directories), saving images, options for program configuration, and license registration are displayed.
By default, Menu Categories contains Home, Layer, and Window categories, with Home is active. When you later add a layer, then its corresponding menu category, such as Scalar Horizontal, is added. You can click the menu category to display its corresponding Ribbon.
The Ribbon contains panels for controlling display options and working with the program. Each Panel contains buttons which are functionally organized.
The Tab Menu Bar contain buttons for activating cursor-picking, hiding/showing Ribbon menu, on-line user manual, and program information.
The Variables Pane displays list of opened data files and the data variables included in them.
The Area Pane shows the horizontal range (latitudes and longitudes) of selected region of the current layer, and allow user to control the range.
The Rendering Pane is the area where 3D graphics are rendered. On this pane, you can control camera perspectives, and set the color mapping and etc.
The Layers Pane displays and manages the layer list.
By default, it displays and activates Background Map and Borderlines Map layers.
The Actions Pane displays the history of actions related to the current selected layer.
Mirae WAVE supports multiple languages, such as English, Chinese (traditional/simplified) and Korean, and automatically select UI language based on the language settings of your Windows OS. In case you want to change the UI language of Mirae WAVE, you can easily do so, by changing Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Format to your desired language and restarting the program. If the selected language is not supported, then Mirae WAVE will automatically select language again based on the language settings of the Windows OS.
